Description
The Philips FRx Infant/Child Key is compatibale only with the HeartStart FRx defibrillator. This product treats an infant or child who is: less than 8 years of age or weighing under 55 pounds. If you are uncertain of the child’s exact weight or age, apply the defibrillator without the Infant/Child Key. Once the Infant/Child Key is inserted, the FRx automatically reduces the defibrillation energy and provides voice and visual instructions and CPR guidance appropriate for treatment of infants and children. Graphics on the key show proper pad placement for infants and children.
The same SMART Pads II can be used for infants, adults, and children. This product eliminates the need to order and keep track of multiple types of electrode pads for different age groups. The key reduces the shock energy of the FRx Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to a level more appropriate for an infant or small child (pediatric victims).
There is no expiration date for the Infant/Child key.
