Become an Instructor

Step 1 - Download and fill out the Instructor Application

Step 2 – Email the form to info@trainingforlife.org

Step 3 - Do you have a medical background (RN, EMT, Paramedic, MD, etc)?

If yes, complete your American Heart Assoc. BLS for the Healthcare Provider course

Step 4 - Complete your American Heart Association Instructor Essentials course(s)You must complete an Instructor Essentials course for each specific discipline.

Transfer Affiliation

For instructors wishing to affiliate with Training For Life 
American Heart Association

 

Step 1 - Download and print the Instructor Transfer Form

Step 2 - Complete section two of the AHA Instructor Transfer Form

Step 3 - Email the form to info@trainingforlife.org

Step 4 - You will receive a confirmation e-mail once your request is processed

Step 1 - Complete your American Heart Association Core Instructor course

Step 2 - Complete a skills evaluation of the following skill sets:

- Adult/child/infant CPR and choking relief

- First Aid

*Additional skill sets may be required for a BLS instructor*

Step 3 - Complete an American Heart Association instructor orientation

Step 4 - Complete a monitoring, i.e. be observed while conducting a course

Step 5 - Affiliate with Training for Life!

Step 1 - Complete your American Heart Association Core Instructor course
