Description
The FRx SMART Pads II, 1-set save valuable time in an emergency. The pads are for adults, children and infants (for pediatrics, see the FRx Infant/Child Key). SMART Pads II eliminate the need of purchasing different pad sets for different patient types. These pads are pre-connected and packaged in a semi-rigid case for added protection. They are equipped with a HeartStart-compatible plug for easy hand-off to Philips advanced life support ALS monitor/defibrillators and to competitors’ defibrillators using Philips adapter models 05-10000 and 05-10100.
The multifunction SMART Pads II connector is compatible with HeartStart manual defibrillators, and can be used for:
- ECG monitoring
- external pacing
- synchronized cardioversion as well as defibrillation
The defibrillation electrodes mentioned are specifically designed for use with the Philips HeartStart FRx AED. They come in a plastic case that fits into the FRx semi-rigid carry case. Similar to other AED pads, these SMART Pads II are meant for one-time use and are disposable. It is recommended to order an extra set to ensure your FRx AED is always ready for action. Additionally, please keep an eye on the expiration date printed on each electrode pad set. SMART Pads II have an expiration date of at least 24 months from the date of manufacture and should be replaced when they expire to maintain the AED’s functionality.
For patients less than 8 years of age or weighing less than 55 pounds (25 kgs.), use the FRx Infant/Child Key, if available.
