Description
This course is intended for the Lay Responder requiring a Course Completion Card/Credential in CPR/AED & (or) First Aid:
- Traditional “classroom” based CPR/AED course is approximately 2.5 hours, depending on the size and speed of the group and any optional modules chosen, such as Infant or First Aid.
This link provides more information about the durations of American Heart Association courses and those optional modules.
- The AHA’s eLearning program, discussed in the attached, provides students with access to an online, interactive, multimedia presentation (approximately 90 minutes on phone, tablet, etc.), in preparation for the required “hands-on” Skills Session (approximately 60 minutes).
Regardless of format, both yield the same 2-year AHA credential; manikins & other training aids will be fully sanitized.
