Description
PALS Instructor Essentials Online & Core is the self-guided, online portion of the PALS Instructor Essentials blended learning course. Course content covers steps for becoming an American Heart Association PALS Instructor and steps of the instruction cycle: Prepare, Teach, Test & Remediate, Close, and Keep Current. This course includes core information about instructing American Heart Association Provider courses, followed by course-specific information.
Designed to prepare instructor candidates to teach American Heart Association Instructor-led and blended learning PALS Provider courses.
It educates instructor candidates on how to:
- use Heart Association Instructor teaching materials
- ensure that students meet learning objectives
- offer student coaching skills
- provide an objective skills performance evaluation
- follow Heart Association Instructor and course policies
The course covers core content and discipline-specific content required to teach American Heart Association courses.
