After successfully completing Heartcode® BLS Online and attending the required In – Person Skills Session, the student will recive a two year, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider Credention, valid for two years.
Description
Heartsaver® CPR AED Online is the eLearning portion of the Heartsaver CPR AED blended learning course.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED Online course provides high-quality training in CPR, and AED use. It equips individuals and workplaces with confidence to respond effectively to medical emergencies until emergency responders arrive.
Designed to meet job or regulatory requirements (i.e. OSHA), the blended learning format is a convenient way to learn at your own pace and schedule.
The Heartsaver CPR AED course is designed for individuals with little or no medical background. It is ideal for anyone who wants to be prepared to respond effectively to emergencies at work, home, or in the community.

Course Format:
Heartsaver CPR AED Online is the required online course for the American Heart Association blended learning training.
The blended learning format allows students to complete the online course at their convenience, followed by a hands-on skills session (sold separately) with an American Heart Association Training Center Instructor.
Course Learning Objectives:
- After successfully completing the CPR AED portion of this course, students should be able to:
- Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
- Explain the concept of the Chain of Survival
- Recognize when someone needs CPR
- Describe how to perform CPR with help from others
- Demonstrate giving effective breaths by using mouth-to-mouth or a mask for all ages
- Demonstrate performing high-quality CPR for an adult, a child, and an infant
- Demonstrate using an AED on an adult and on a child
- Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child Demonstrate how to help a choking infant
Note: Course objectives may vary depending on the specific topics taught.
Upon successful completion, students receive a Heartsaver CPR AED Course Completion Card, valid for two years.
This product reflects the latest science and education from the 2025 Guidelines for CPR & ECC. It replaces Heartsaver CPR AED Online (20-1401).
